Undergraduate Admission

A freshman class of about 2,000 students are admitted each year. The Undergraduate Admission section offers information about academic preparation, how to obtain admission materials, and an FAQ.

Admission to the University of St. La Salle is a privilege. The University therefore reserves the right to refuse admission to applicants or to require withdrawal of students when it deems their presence among the student body is inimical to the objective of the University or to the observance of the regulations.

Applicants who in the evaluation of the admissions officer, are qualified to profit from the educational program of the college are admitted to the University of St. La Salle. In determining the admission of applicants, consideration shall be given to past scholastic records, present scholastic aptitude, character, recommendations as well as the applicant's acceptance of the Mission Statement and all policies, procedures, rules and regulations of the College.

Eligibility for Application

An applicant must be any one of the following:

  1. A Grade 12 student expected to graduate at the end of Academic Year 2017-2018;
  2. A Grade 12 student who graduated from a school based abroad prior to AY 2017-2018 and who has not taken any college course;
  3. A 4th Year High School student from a school in the Philippines who graduated prior to AY 2017-2018 and who has not taken any college course;
  4. Passer of the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT), Alternative Learning System (ALS) or Non-Formal Education Accreditation and Equivalency (NFEA&E) Program following DepEd regulations and therefore certified eligible for admission to college/tertiary level;

PRE-ADMISSION STEPS

Requirements:
2 pcs 2x2 ID picture with white background
Testing Fee: Php 200.00
  1. Fill out Freshman Application for Entrance Exam at Guidance and Evaluation Center (GEC) located at ground floor, Benilde Building
  2. Pay testing fee at the Cashier’s Office.
  3. Present official receipt at GEC and get your exam schedule.
  4. Take the scheduled exam indicated on your permit. No permit, no exam.

    • UBAT Score Sheet
    • Original Grade 12 Report Card/ Transcript with signature of Principal and official school seal
    • Photocopy of NSO birth certificate
    • Application Form (please attach latest 2x2 ID photo with white background)
    • Undertaking Form (please attach latest 1x1 ID photo with white background)
    • 2 Recommendation Forms (should be filled-up by the adviser and guidance counselor and sealed in an envelope)
    • Medical Certificate from the USLS Clinic (Please prepare 2x2 ID photo with white background)

    Additional Requirements for Dual Citizens
    • Passport
    • Photocopy of Passport bio-page.
    • Recognition as Filipino issued by the BI if passport is not available
    • For Foreign Students, please see International Students section.
  3. College Interview
    • ID# issuance and password creation
    • ID picture taking

PRE-ADMISSION STEPS

Requirements:
Recent copy of Transcript of Records for initial evaluation
2 pcs 2x2 ID picture with white background
Testing Fee of Php300.00

* Subjects taken from previous school must undergo initial evaluation and subject for approval by department chair.

If you have stopped and have not previously enrolled in any university or college upon returning to La Salle Bacolod, please follow the steps below; otherwise, please see the Transferee section:

  1. Secure clearance form at ITC and have it signed by respective offices. Student Accounts issues the returnee clearance slip upon completion of clearance form.
  2. Present Returnee Clearance Slip at ASAO to claim your admission card.
  3. Activate your USLS account at the Registrar’s Office Window 6.

Audit Program

Audit Program of La Salle Bacolod is offered to those who wish to take refresher in any subjects available in the current semester. This is a non-credit program.

  1. Check the availability of subject/s with the College you wish to enroll in.
  2. Pay P 200.00 as admission fee at the Cashier’s Office
  3. Submit the following admission requirements
    • Certificate or Permission to Cross Enroll from your current school with the Registrar’s signature and school seal (1 original and 2 photocopies)
    • Application Form (please attached latest 2x2 ID photo with white background)
