On October 9, 1960, the initial efforts of Br. Francis Cody FSC to gather the Negros-based La Salle graduates from La Salle College-Bacolod and De La Salle-Taft resulted in the organization of a joint Alumni Association here in Bacolod.

Under the presidency of Alumni presidents Ramiro Garcia and Donato Poblador, the association was strengthened and was duly registered as La Salle Bacolod Alumni Association, Inc.

When La Salle College-Bacolod gained University status in 1988, the association changed its name to the University of St. La Salle Alumni Association Bacolod, Inc. (USLSAA) in 1997.
