Audio-Visual Resource Center
The USLS AVRC is an academic support unit that exists primarily to facilitate speedy, prompt and precise service for audio-visual related requests and services of the institution.
It envisions itself as the provider of world class and competitive audio-visual materials, equipment and facilities served by highly-competent and skilled staff who embodies the La Sallian traits needed in the daily transactions.
Specifically, the AVRC aims to:
- Deliver updated, reliable and functional instructional equipment and materials;
- Respond quickly to the needs and requirements related to audio-visual resources of the University ;
- Facilitate the effective orientation and technological skills development of its end-users;
- Provide efficient and reliable means of ID processing and production; and
- Acquire feedback and conduct research for the improvement of the AV services and materials.
Location and Service Hours
The Audio Visual Resource Center has two separate facilities. The AVRC Main is situated at the ground floor of the Cody Hall within the perimeters of the University of St. La Salle while the AVRC Extension is at the USLS Health and Science Campus beside Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital along Lacson Street.
The AVRC Main service hours run a total of 74 hours a week. It is open from 7:30AM until 8:30PM from Monday to Friday and from 8:00 AM until 5:00PM on Saturday with no noon breaks.
The AVRC Extension is open from 6:00AM till 8:00PM from Monday to Friday and from 8:00AM to 12:00PM during Saturdays.
Physical Facilities
Multi-media Classrooms
All classrooms are equipped with LCD/DLP projectors and Overhead Projectors. Majority of which also have satellite TV’s for film showing as well as podiums to facilitate audio enhancement. Kits for these equipments can be borrowed at the counter of the AVRC.
Mini-Auditoria
The Mini Auditoria are situated adjacent to each other. Each room can accommodate a class of 50 persons and if both auditoria are combined it can house 100 persons for relatively bigger functions.
Mutien Marie Auditoria
The Mutien Marie Auditoria is situated at the 4th floor of the Mutien Marie building. MM Auditorium Rheims (MM Audi A) can house 350 persons while MM Auditorium Rouen (MM Audi B) can house 210 persons.
