After a five-year-long wait, Lasallians have once again scored the coveted The Outstanding Students Award (THOS).

Justin Mikael Moreno and Ma. Francesca Santiago, Grade 10 students of the University of St. La Salle - Integrated School, were recognized by Junior Chamber International - Bacolod as THOS Awardees last February 11, 2017 at The District, Ayala North Point.

Moreno, Santiago, and Lady Dorothy Elli were nominated for the prestigious award, with all three making it to the Top 10 Finalists and Moreno and Santiago recognized as the Top 2 Awardees.

Moreno was also given the Best Bidbook Content Award and the Leadership Excellence Award, while Elli was given the award for Academic Excellence.

The nominees underwent a rigorous selection process against 35 other students involving the creation of a bidbook and two interviews.

They were judged according to their Academic Excellence, Leadership Excellence, and Community Service.

"We are honored to bring such pride to our school," Santiago says about their victory.

Moreno and Santiago were also previously elected as Boy City Mayor and Girl Vice Mayor respectively during the 2016 Rotary Bacolod Boys and Girls Week.
