A full-length play presented by Bahay Pag-asa Youth Center-Bacolod and the Performance Laboratory Inc. is set to be shown to the public at the Gallaga Theater on Jan.25-26,28-29.

Entitled “Palad”, the play written by Fundador Tipon II tackles the perils of the youth of today.

Set in contemporary times and ensnared in the cold confines of a youth detention center, Palad tells the story of five young people who persist and resist to serving justice in diversion, intervention and rehabilitation.

With offenses breadth from acts of vagrancy, prostitution, drug addiction and theft to capital crimes of robbery, rape and murder, they deal with the ghosts of their acts while facing their own childhood demons that reared them in a tortured crib of crime and decadence where submission, escape or transformation being their only bail out.

Directed by Lovelle Bellocillo, the cast of Palad include Rosco Cofreros; Peter John Palma; Gerhard Krysstopher Pagunsan; Neil Patrick Begasa; Alyssa Louise Lozanes; Ihvonie Sevilleno; Banjo Hinolan; Andre Tagamolila; Lisette Joan Baldeviso; and Charlene Mae Tupas.

Tickets are sold at 100Php. Proceeds are for the benefit of Bahay Pag-asa Youth Center-Bacolod.
