Graduating internal scholars of the University were recognized for their perseverance and dedication during the Tribute to Scholars organized by the Admissions and Scholarships Administration Office on March 14 at the Santuario De La Salle.
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Marie Therese Jochico extended her congratulations to the graduating scholars for their persistence, diligence and achievement of the Lasallian education.
Director for External Relations Rhoderick Samonte, a former University scholar, served as the guest speaker.
In his inspirational speech, Samonte challenged the scholars to be committed to four things: scholarship, leadership, service and character.
He added that one must not be hesitant to take risks, one can’t do it alone, one must have tolerance and respect; and one should be able give back or pay it forward.
“The future is in your hands, fear not for you are Lasallians”, Samonte added.
Ma. Izza Puey, a nursing major and scholar, thanked the University for the opportunity of education it granted to the scholars and as well challenged her fellow scholars to never forget to pay it forward.
Feeder schools were also recognized during the event. |
