A school from Bago City now has a new classroom and feeding center thanks to the Build a Classroom Project of Jollibee Foundation.
AM Espinos Elementary School recently received the P650,000 worth of classroom and feeding center during the turnover ceremony at Brgy. Dulao last June 9.
The construction serves as incentive for the support and performance of the City Government of Bago as partner of the Busog Lusog Talino program of JF and the Institute for Negros Development of the University of St. La Salle since 2009.
Jollibee Vice President for Visayas-Mindanao Operations Bheng Huyong along with Area Manager Manolo Pineda and Construction Engineer Renato Rosario turned over the classroom and feeding center to the community.
Mayor Ramon Torres of Bago City accepted the donation in behalf of the school in the presence of representatives from DepEd Bago and city officials.
AM Espinos Principal Jennifer Roullo said she is thankful to Jollibee Foundation and USLS for the support they have given to the school.
Present also during the turnover were IND Director Rhoderick K. Samonte and Balayan Director Ann Gladys Ponteras.
BLT is an in-school feeding program for undernourished grade 1 and 2 pupils of public elementary schools. |
