In culmination of the Centennial Celebration of Lasallian Presence in the Philippines, the University of St. La Salle is set to form a Human Star at 4:30pm on June 15 at the USLS Football Field.
The USLS Star Formation is expected to gather 2000 participants composed of administrators, students, faculty, staff and alumni.
Prior to the star formation, a Eucharistic celebration will be held in the morning at the St. La Salle Coliseum.
Other La Salle schools in the country are also to organize their own version of the Human Lasallian Star.
It was in 1911 when the La Salle Brothers arrived in Manila to establish the first Lasallian school in the Philippines. The University of St. La Salle was founded in 1952.
This July 2012, USLS is to celebrate its 60th year with the theme, “Transforming Lives. Building Communities. Shaping Futures.”
The Foundation (Handumanan) Week celebration is scheduled July 2-7. |
