University of St. La Salle salutes the 2013 Graduates!

The USLS Graduates of Class 2013 at the St. La Salle Coliseum.


On its 56th year, 1,650 college graduates marched on to receive their diplomas during the University of St. La Salle Graduation Rites held at the St. La Salle Coliseum, March 24.

The Class of 2013 of colleges Arts & Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Business & Accountancy, Education, Nursing and Law were conferred graduates by USLS President & Chancellor Br. Raymundo B. Suplido, FSC during the ceremony attended by proud parents, teachers and the Lasallian community.
 
Political Science major Janella G. Montemayor delivered the graduate’s message and was awarded Suma Cum Laude together with other academic honors, Magna Cum Laude Khara Jane B. Abuana, Jill Therese U. Au, Ainah Aevia L. Bonafe,, Almira T. Corot, Praulaine Kay B. Garcia, Gennessis L. Pastrana, Hanemar P. Ponteras, and Elisa A. Ziimmermann.

Lasallian medals were also given to Cum Laude Kristine Monique B. Abao, Sheila Marie L. Abaygar, Jayrick F. Aguirre, Rizzy P. Barcelon, April Renee B. Bernal, Paulo Emmanuele D. Betita, Josela D. Borromeo, April Joy A. Brizuela, Maria Preciosa S. Bustillo, Alexis Victoria M. Canchela, Lyka Angela D. Casiano, Ryan Jayson L. Chua, Adelaine S. Conadera, Mary Anne M. Craste, Patricia Angela B. Certificates of Recognition were given to 63 Alma Mater Awardees and special awardees Teodoro Angelo D. Villanueva (National Ayala Young Leaders), Mitchell Reuben C. Foster (Aboitiz Youth Leadership), Kurt Patrick V. Yee (Aboitiz Youth Leadership), Allen P. Lacson (Iwag Award), Gelianne Kristy N.Esteron (PICPA Most Outstanding Student in Accounting and Auditing Students in Negros Occidental and PICPA Most Outstanding Student in Accounting and Auditing Students in University of St. La Salle), Rizael A. Villanueva (PAMA Outstanding Management Accounting Student), Almira T. Corot (Council of Management Educators and Practitioners in the Philippines Award), Eric C. Ausente (Leadership Award of Rotary Club of Metro Bacolod), Ronald M. Flores (Coral Bay Nickel Corporation Scholars),  Emmanuele M. Santiago (Coral Bay Nickel Corporation Scholars), Paulo Emmanuele D. Betita (Most Outstanding Chemical Engineering Student of the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers -   Negros Occidental and Excellence Award Council of Engineering and Architecture Schools – Western Visayas, Inc.).

Professor Juan Miguel M. Luz, Executive Vice President of the National Institute for Policy Studies received this year’s Signum Lasallianum Award and delivered his commencement address, inspiring the new Lasallian professionals, who are expected to be critical thinkers, effective communicators and socially responsible Christians.

Diocese of Bacolod Bishop Vicente M. Navarra blessed the graduates, followed by the Pledge of Loyalty which was led by USLS Alumni Association President Mr. Fidel T. Henares.

Enrollment for Academic Year 2013-2014 starts on May 31 for student assistants, varsities, Culture & Arts Program scholars and dean’s listers; June 3 for fourth and fifth year students, June 4 for first year students, June 5 for second year, June 6 for third year, and June 7 for all students.
