The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program is the study of the utilization of computers and computer software to plan, install, customize, operate, manage, administer and maintain information technology infrastructures. Graduates of BSIT may qualify for, but are not limited to the following entry level positions: applications developer, database administrator, IT entrepreneur, information security administrator, IT instructor, network administrator, network engineer, systems analyst, technical support specialist, test engineer, web developer / web administrator / web master.

Specific Program Objectives

In line with the University Mission Statement, the program is designed to:

  • prepare students to be IT professionals;
  • develop students’ practical knowledge and skills on applications development, installation, operation, maintenance and administration; and
  • familiarize students with computer hardware installation, operation and maintenance.
