Museo de Negrense De La Salle
As the only school-based museum in Bacolod City which services not only the needs of the academic but also of the artistic community. Museo Negrense de La Salle is a small museum with big dreams.
It is a special tool to help faculty, students and the outside community focus on what they are and what they can become by providing visual evidence of the Filipino cultural heritage in order to promote knowledge, understanding and appreciation of our history, art and culture.
The campus museum has a permanent collection of religious artifacts from the Diocese of Bacolod as well as valuable collections of antique images and period pieces of furniture donated by benefactors and friends.
University Brass Band
Became well-known as a MARCHING BAND, focusing on school-wide and city-wide activities including the NROTC's Annual Tactical Inspection and Lasallian Pep rallies.
La Salle Chorale
The only school-based acapella vocal ensemble in the region, The University Chorale has developed a reputation for its remarkable interpretation of vocal musical literature - from classical to contemporary, from gospel to standards, from kundimans to OPM. With an unbroken blend of male and female voices, ranging from first soprano to second bass, The University Chorale has become famous for its musical excellence.
Since its founding in 1988, the group has reaped numerous awards among which are: The 1993 NAMCYA Regional Chorale Championship; the 1994 NOPSCEA College Choir Championship; Runner-up in the 1998 Centennial Chorale Festival. Acknowledged as one of the top 5 chorale groups in the Philippines, the University Chorale has performed with the Peace Philharmonic Philippines. The group also had a series of concerts in Taiwan, Hongkong and Bangkok.
The University Chorale is ably led by Serry Repique, BSN-RN, and also former member of the group. Under his musical direction, the Chorale won the 1999 National Music Competition for Young Artists held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Still, the University Chorale continues in its objective to be an active performing group in USLS. If, as a poet says, "music is the heart of the soul", the Chorale stands firm in its mission to make music the heart of every man's soul.
