In line with the iVote2010 campaign of the Lasallian Justice & Peace Commission for a more meaningful and critical participation of the Lasallian community in the coming elections, a Presidential Forum is set to be viewed in the different La Salle schools on Jan. 29 , from 2-5pm.

The Presidential Forum entitled “Youth2010: Bumoto Para sa Pagbabago” is an initiative led by the De La Salle University Student Council in Partnership with ABS-CBN Network.

La Salle schools, including the University of St. La Salle, will be setting up viewing facilities in campus for the airing of the forum live via ANC.

The Presidential Forum is expected to gather the majority, if not all, of the presidential candidates.

3:20pm – 3:50pm ISSUE DISCUSSION
There will be nine different issues to be discussed. Days before
the forum, draw lots will be conducted to determine what
specific issue will be assigned to each candidate. Likewise,
draw lots will also be conducted to determine which school
would ask the question for each candidate. The issues are to
be based in the United Nations millennium development goals.
3:20pm – 3:50pm ONE-ON-ONE DISCUSSION
A panel composed of students from De La Salle University will
be formed to ask each presidentiables two questions within 3
minutes.
3:50pm – 4:10pm QUESTIONS FROM THE HOST
The host will be asking a question per candidate and the
candidates have two minutes each to answer the question.
4:10pm – 4:40pm OPEN FORUM
Anyone from the audience can ask a question to any
candidate and the candidates will be given maximum of two
minutes to answer each question.
4:40pm – 4:50pm CLOSING STATEMENT OF THE CANDIDATES
Each candidate will be asked to deliver a 1-minute closing
message for the youth.
4:50pm – 5:00pm CLOSING OF THE OFFICIAL PROGRAMME
The host will thank all the people who made the event
possible. Alma Matter Hymn will also be played and exits of
colors will take place.
