USLS, AFS ink MOU

A Memorandum of Understanding formalizing the ties between the University of St. La Salle and AFS Intercultural Programs Philippines was signed Wednesday at USLS.

President and Chancellor Br. Raymundo Suplido FSC represented USLS while AFS President Rahiema Guerra, represented AFS Intercultural Programs Philippines, in the signing of the MOU.

Under the MOU, USLS and AFS mutually agree on the hosting and sending of teachers and students as well as on volunteer development.

USLS shall be entitled to have qualified students join and participate in the AFS Intercultural Exchange Programs.

Furthermore, USLS will be a school-based chapter known as the AFS BACOLOD CHAPTER and will be represented by the Director of the Center for External Relations, Rhoderick K. Samonte.

AFS, a non-stock, non-profit foundation, caters to give the Filipino youth the opportunity to participate in an intercultural exchange program with the hope of creating a more just and peaceful world.
