The Center serves a tri-fold mission:

  1. International and External Relationship
    • To link the University of St. La Salle to the international and external community by building partnerships and promoting collaboration in enhancing existing programming and developing new programming in support of teaching and faculty development, research and public engagement work.
    • To provide support in nurturing all international and external linkages of the different units and departments of the university.
    • To serve as the central point for logistical support to all high-level visitors to campus, both domestic and international.

    • Communications
      • To promote the University’s local and global reach and achievements in teaching, research and public engagement to stakeholders and external constituencies.
      • To act as an information resource for the University’s stakeholders and constituencies and to facilitate communications internally among all campus units.
      • To act as a conduit to news media for special interest and news dissemination, and as a viable piece of the University’s overall public affairs mission.
      • To serve as the protocol and etiquette locus for all institutional activities, providing guidelines, resources and advice on all related matters.

    • Advocacy
      • To promote and advocate for issues and values that the university primarily cares about as expressed in its mission statement.
      • To undertake an institutional public advocacy by using an integrated and team approach that maximizes university expertise.
      • To build faculty/staff/student capabilities in public affairs and develop a public affairs information accessibility through an information service delivery.
