THE PUBLISHER

The University of St. La Salle Publication and Engagement Office serves as the primary journal publisher for the institution, operating under the Center for Research and Engagement (CRE). This office is pivotal in facilitating the timely publication of research outputs and disseminating recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders. The CRE itself coordinates various university-wide studies and projects, encompassing a diverse array of academic, technical, applied, and developmental research initiatives. Its mission is anchored in advancing the university's research agenda, which emphasizes quality education, socio-economic development, environmental preservation, and scientific and technological progress. Established in 1952 by three American Brothers from the Philippine Province of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, the University of St. La Salle is a non-stock, non-profit corporation dedicated to human and Christian education, particularly for the youth from underprivileged backgrounds.

HISTORY

Initially named the Publication and Engagement Office (PEO), It was rebranded in 2024 to better reflect its core functions and objectives. The office plays a crucial role in facilitating the timely publication of research outputs and disseminating research recommendations to various stakeholders, thereby enhancing the university's research profile and impact. When the PEO was first established, it served as a platform for disseminating research through six academic journals produced by USLS faculty, students, and other external partners.
