DECLARATION OF GENERATIVE AI AND AI- AI-ASSISTED TECHNOLOGIES

     University of St. La Salle (USLS) Publisher follows COPE's position statement Cope Position Statement on AI on using Artificial Intelligence Generated Content ( AIGC) tools such as ChatGPT or Large Language Models in research publications. By this statement, AI tools cannot fulfill the requirements for authorship. The Authors take full responsibility for the publication content.

     Manuscript authors who use tools in the writing of a manuscript, production of images or graphical elements of the paper, or in the collection and analysis of data have to state in the “ Disclosure of AI-assisted/ AI generated technologies and tools section of the manuscript. Tools used to improve mechanics and grammaticality, such as Grammarly, reference managers like Mendeley, and plagiarism checkers like Turnitin, are excluded from this guideline; the Publication and Engagement Office ( PEO) uses the three software for quality assurance purposes only. The final decision about whether using an AIGC tool is approprite or permissible in the circumstances of a submitted manuscript or a published article lies with the journal’s editor.

Sample Template: During the preparation of this work, the author(s) used [NAME TOOL / SERVICE] to [REASON] in [SECTION/COMPONENTS]. After using this tool/service, the author(s) reviewed and edited the content as needed and should take full responsibility for the publication's content.

     If AI tools are not used in any part/section of the manuscript, state your non-disclosure.
