25 USLS takers pass Physician Licensure Exam
A total of 25 takers from the University’s College of Medicine passed the March 2023 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), results from the Professional Regulation Commission showed.
The University’s first takers scored an impressive 88.24 percent rating while its overall passing rate is 83.33 percent.
Furthermore, the University's overall passing rate surpassed the national average of 54.50 percent.
The new Lasallian doctors are: Russel Rey Alanes, Candice Abigail Bantigue, Shaila Mae Bawa-an, Kristine Marie Joy Belleza, Dannah Kezia Bermudez, Leolen Cordova, Mariella Michelle De Leon, Marvyn Kerziel Estanda, Joanne May Gatumbato, Marielle Jacinto, Aileen Jalea, Jose Robert Lim, Kimberly Llamas, Hannah Jezreel Mabulac;
Francis Stephen Miraflores, Marybeth Opu-an, Mary Angela Pandan, Reena Pañares, John Anthony Quebrado, Celina Rabago, John Aldrich Rios, Mary Dominique Rosales, Francis Raphael Torres, Merielou Claire Valencia, Bethyl Anne Vicete.
The PLE was administered by the Board of Medicine in NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
The University of St. La Salle is the only higher education institution in the province of Negros Occidental that offers a medicine program.
