The College of Tourism and Hospitality of the University achieved a 100% passing rate in the Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS) Certification Examination conducted by Sabre Travel Network Philippines Inc. from April 20 to 23, 2026.
All 119 second-year Tourism Management students who took the exam passed, marking a strong performance in one of the travel industry’s widely used reservation and booking systems.
The certification measures students’ knowledge and practical skills in airline reservations, booking procedures, travel coordination, and computerized distribution systems used in tourism operations.
Faculty members Ms. Tarhata Menon and Dr. Christine Mae Montenegro guided the students throughout the certification process, helping strengthen their knowledge of industry standards and travel operations.
For students, the certification adds practical experience and an industry-recognized credential that can support future careers in tourism and hospitality. It also highlights the College of Tourism and Hospitality’s focus on preparing graduates for the demands of the profession.
The college congratulates all 119 passers for reaching this milestone and for representing the university through their hard work and preparation.
