Recognizing the University’s outstanding contributions to the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE), the College of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH) received the FBSE Academe Partner Award during the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) FBSE Summit 2025 Recognition and Awarding Program on July 21 at The Bellevue, Manila.
The University, represented by CTH Dean Dr. John Michael A. Montelibano, and Dr. Ostein Earn G. Gemotea, Tourism Management Department Chairperson, was honored with the prestigious award.
Initiated by the Department of Tourism, FBSE is a nationwide campaign that promotes exceptional, culturally rooted customer service by showcasing Filipino hospitality and values.
The FBSE Summit 2025 Recognition and Awarding Program honors the invaluable efforts of individuals, institutions, partners, and local government units who champion service excellence as part of everyday life, enriching Filipino culture.
To date, over 322,000 tourism workers across the Philippines have been trained under FBSE, underscoring the program’s broad and meaningful impact.
The University’s College of Tourism and Hospitality remains committed to advancing service excellence through the FBSE framework, preparing future tourism professionals to deliver world-class and heartfelt Filipino hospitality.
