The University’s College of Engineering, in partnership with the Admissions and Scholarships Office, held the Math and Science Quizbowl 2026 on February 13 at the MM Audi B.
The event brought together Senior High School students from 15 schools in Bacolod and nearby areas to test their skills in Math and Science.

In the Individual Category, Gaebriel Lancelot R. Ching of St. Scholastica’s Academy of Bacolod City, Inc. was named champion. Abia Johan K. Uy and Clarence Matthew G. Urot, both from Bacolod Tay Tung High School, placed first and second runner-up, respectively.
In the School Category, Bacolod Tay Tung High School, Inc. took first place, followed by Rafael B. Lacson Memorial High School and Negros Occidental National Science High School.
The Quizbowl aimed to give students a chance to challenge themselves, strengthen their knowledge in Math and Science, and encourage academic excellence among participating schools.
