Computer eng'g student wins 1st runner up in nat'l CpE tilt

Floyd D'Vinci Guevarra of ENCE3A bagged 1st Runner Up in the Python Programming category in the recent CpE Challenge 2024 National Competition held last April 18-19 — besting 13 other participants from other participating regions. He was coached by BS Computer Engineering Department Chair Engr. Jeffrey Fuentes.

Before clinching the Regional Championship for Python and competing in the nationals this year, he was also the Regional Champion for Java Programming in the CpE Challenge 2022-2023 and the Regional and National Champion for C++ Programming in the CpE Challenge 2021-2022. Region 6 participated in all categories in the CpE Challenge 2024 and bagged placements in 5 categories.

USLS also participated in the Robothon category represented by Andrei Alexis Argel, Daniel Jess Reynoso, and Meg Gomez.
