GMA Masterclass at USLS Champions Responsible Voting Ahead of Midterm Elections With the midterm elections just around the corner, the University of St. La Salle proudly hosted the GMA Masterclass: Eleksyon 2025 Dapat Totoo Series on February 18 at the Santuario de La Salle, marking the third collaboration between USLS and GMA Network in this educational initiative.
This event brought together Lasallian students, faculty, and media professionals to engage in meaningful discussions on truth, responsible voting, and combating misinformation and disinformation.
In his welcome message, USLS President Br. Joaquin Severino Martinez FSC emphasized that truth and integrity are fundamental Lasallian values.
He called on students to take an active role in promoting honesty and accountability, especially in the upcoming elections, affirming that Lasallians must always stand for what is true and right.
The event featured esteemed Kapuso journalists Susan Enriquez and Mariz Umali, sportscaster Martin Antonio, GMA Integrated News Social Media Manager Hannah Petrache, and GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas correspondent Zen Quilantang-Sasa.
They shared insights on media literacy, the importance of fact-checking, and the role of young voters in ensuring a fair and informed electoral process.
Hosting the event was Martin Javier of 24 Oras, while The Clash Season 4 Grand Champion Mariane Osabel energized the audience with a musical performance.
