Inter La Salle Makes Big Comeback Post-Pandemic in Bacolod; 15 La Salle Schools to Participate

The University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City is gearing up for the return of Inter La Salle 2025, bringing together over 900 delegates across 15 La Salle schools nationwide for an exhilarating five-day sports event from January 20-24.

Dubbed Hugpong Hampang, this year’s edition celebrates unity, camaraderie, and athletic excellence through an expanded lineup of sports and activities.

The event will feature competitions in basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, football, swimming, chess, and e-sports, the newest addition to the tournament.

Lasallian athletes and delegates are expected to participate across these events to be held at USLS, St. Joseph School - La Salle, and other host venues within Bacolod City.

The participating La Salle schools are: De La Salle University, La Salle Greenhills, De La Salle Araneta University, De La Salle Andres Soriano Memorial College, De La Salle John Bosco College, De La Salle Lipa, De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute, De La Salle University - Dasmariñas, De La Salle Zobel, La Salle Academy Iligan, La Salle College Antipolo, La Salle University Ozamiz, St. Jaime Hilario School - De La Salle Bataan, St. Joseph School - La Salle Bacolod, and the University of St. La Salle - Bacolod.

The special highlight of the Inter La Salle Sports Camp also includes special Lasallian formation programs with triathlete and SEA Games gold medalist Nikko Huelgas, “One-Armed Mamba” Kat Tan, and the President of the Negros Occidental Regional Football Association, Miggy Vilmayor, as speakers; a basketball exhibition game featuring Bahay Pag-asa residents and the De La Salle Brothers; as well as a fun-filled giant volleyball match.

The revival of Inter La Salle this year comes after USLS last hosted the event in 2020, prior to the pandemic.
