The University welcomed four Japanese Civil Engineering students from Tokyo Metropolitan University on August 6 for an eight-week exchange program to engage in language learning, research, and cultural immersion.
Mashiko Taisuke, Yokohama Haruki, Narumi Shion, and Kondo Harunori will stay until September 21, taking language classes under the Language Learning Program (LLP) and pursuing Environmental Science and Engineering coursework with the College of Engineering (CoE).
Throughout their visit, they will participate in campus tours, cultural orientations, and city and heritage tours, along with special workshops highlighting Filipino traditions.

In addition to their academic work, the students will collaborate with the Vice Chancellor for Research and Engagement, Dr. Romeo G. Teruel, to produce an Environmental Impact Assessment of the Granada Eco Park.
The University hopes their time here will be filled with learning, friendships, and meaningful experiences they will carry long after returning home.
