Center for Marketing and Communications 07 Oct, 2025

The University received a donation of green and white traffic barriers from the La Salle Bacolod High School Class of 1962, aimed at improving traffic safety and organization along La Salle Avenue.

The barriers, now installed along the main road, are designed to help manage vehicle movement, promote road discipline, and ensure a safer and more organized flow of traffic within and around the campus.

In a symbolic ceremony held on campus last October 6, Batch ’62 representatives Alfonso Dacles, Jimmy Golez, and Caesar Peralta Jr. formally turned over the donation and unveiled their class marker in front of the St. La Salle Coliseum.

The donation was received by University administrators led by President and Chancellor Br. Joaquin Severino Martinez FSC, DMin. Also present were Mr. Aaron Bais, Executive Assistant to the Mayor on Traffic and Transportation, and Mr. Patrick Lacson, representative of Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya, who both expressed their support for the initiative.

The University expressed its gratitude to the Class of 1962 for their generosity and for continuing to embody the Lasallian spirit of faith, service, and community.
