OVCAA extends suspension of HEU onsite F2F classes on Aug. 30

Due to the ongoing inclement weather conditions caused by Typhoon Goring, the suspension of on-site face-to-face classes for the Higher Education Unit will be extended until tomorrow, August 30, as announced by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

Online classes will be conducted with consideration given to students unable to participate due to challenges such as being in evacuation centers.

Those with internet connectivity issues, may continue learning asynchronously using the University’s Learning Management Classes.

Meanwhile, On The Job Training / Internship activities also remain suspended.

The College of Law and College of Medicine MD4 students are encouraged to wait for final announcements from the College Deans.

Furthermore, in light of the prevailing weather conditions, it has been determined that pre-scheduled events could proceed as planned, provided that attendees can safely transport themselves to and from the venue.

Attendees' safety remains a priority in this regard.

Check the below memo from the OVCAA for more details.

Safety and well-being remain a priority. Stay safe and dry, everyone!
