This #PassionWednesday, let’s set our sights on the Office for Student Affairs (OSA), led by Marijoy Gaduyon who started in 2024. Complementing the academic programs, OSA works to provide opportunities for holistic growth, grounded in human and Christian formation. While academics remain a priority, OSA ensures that students also develop personally, socially, and professionally during their university journey.
A key part of OSA’s mission is leadership development. The office aims to create proactive and collaborative student leaders who can drive meaningful change. To achieve this, OSA oversees leadership training programs and ensures that student councils and organizations operate effectively. The University Student Government (USG), alongside various student-led initiatives, operates under OSA’s guidance, fostering a culture of responsibility and active participation. Under OSA, the Discipline & Formation Office ensures that each student follows our disciplinary measures and provisions.
Beyond leadership, OSA manages a range of activities that enrich student life. Clubs and organizations, student publications, and advocacy programs all fall under OSA’s supervision. Major annual events like Club Fair, Lasallian Week, and Animolympics are spearheaded by the office, giving students avenues to explore talents, build networks, and celebrate their Lasallian identity. Culture and Arts programs further strengthen the creative expression and heritage appreciation among students.

OSA also serves as a hub for student support and development. It facilitates collaboration with other university offices, including Health Services, Guidance Services, University Gender and Development, and Security Services. These units meet bi-monthly as part of a council, addressing issues and improving the overall student experience through targeted solutions.
In its role as a unifying entity, OSA coordinates institutional initiatives and activities that extend beyond the classroom. Whether it's student leadership programs, advocacy work, or organizational events, OSA ensures alignment with the university’s vision and mission. Every student activity is carefully reviewed and supported by OSA to maximize its impact.
Ultimately, the Office of Student Affairs is more than just a department—it is a partner in every student’s journey. By fostering leadership, promoting personal growth, and coordinating meaningful initiatives, OSA plays a vital role in creating a vibrant and transformative university experience for the Lasallian community.
