USLS Continuing Education Seminar Advances Future-Ready Educators

The University’s Continuing Education conducted the Seminar on the Continuing Professional Education Program on September 26 at the Mutien Marie Audi A. Themed “Empowering Future-Ready Education,” the seminar gathered 131 educators and education professionals from 11 school divisions and 12 cities across Northern and Southern Negros Occidental.

The seminar welcomed Project FREE alumni, administrators, USLS faculty, and faculty and teachers from St. Joseph School La Salle. It provided applied Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units for professional teachers seeking to fulfill requirements for the renewal of their Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) licenses.

The program featured Constantino T. Ballena, JD, PhD of De La Salle University–Dasmariñas, who discussed the use of artificial intelligence in teaching and research, and Aime T. Guarino, Rpsy, RGC, PhD of De La Salle University–Manila, who shared strategies for addressing learners’ academic and behavioral challenges.

The University recognizes Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson of the Province of Negros Occidental for his administration’s continuing support for the development of educators.

Through the seminar, participants gained practical knowledge on integrating artificial intelligence into teaching and research, as well as strategies for responding to diverse learner needs. The discussions aimed to strengthen educators’ professional competencies and equip them to respond to the evolving demands of education.

The participation of educators from across Negros Occidental underscored the importance of continuing professional development in strengthening the education sector. The initiative further reflects USLS Continuing Education’s commitment to providing relevant learning opportunities that support educators in their professional growth and practice.
