USLS Led NIR team shines at National PRISAA with medal haul
The University of St. La Salle has once again proven its athletic prowess by clinching multiple medals at the National PRISAA, held in Legazpi City, Albay from July 20-26, 2024
The USLS-led NIR (Negros Island Region) team showcased outstanding performances across various sports, bringing home a remarkable collection of gold, silver, and bronze medals.
The impressive results highlight the dedication and talent of USLS athletes and their coaches, bringing pride and honor to the University. The success at the National PRISAA shows the institution's commitment to excellence in sports and holistic development.
Gold Medal Achievements:
Shot Put: Kenneth Ferraris delivered a stellar performance, securing the gold medal in the shot put event.
Secondary Football Boys: The USLS team, bolstered by selections from STI WNU and UNO-R, claimed gold in the secondary football boys' division.
College Badminton Mixed Doubles: Mickaela Ciocon, paired with an athlete from North Negros College, triumphed in the mixed doubles event.
High School Boys Badminton Singles: Ian JP Naranja emerged victorious in the high school boys' badminton singles category.
College Badminton Women Singles: Athena Tashcuh Sonota clinched gold in the college badminton women singles event.
College Lawn Tennis Women Doubles: The duo of Kim Galanza and Mika Medina secured the top spot in the college lawn tennis women doubles.
College Badminton Men Team Event: The men's team, including athletes from North Negros College, dominated their event.
College Taekwondo Women: Acel Cabalhin showcased her martial arts skills to win gold.
