The University has formalized its partnership with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held at the Office of the President. The collaboration identifies USLS as one of the beneficiaries of the Light the World Giving Machines project.
Available from December to January, the Giving Machines will allow donors to support food, education, and livelihood programs of the University’s Bahay Pag-asa Youth Center.
Representing USLS at the signing were University President Br. Joaquin Severino Martinez FSC, Vice Chancellor for Administration Michael Villanueva, and Vice Chancellor for Mission and Development Mark Christopher Dueñas.
Leading the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Philippines team was Haidi Fajardo, Communication and Marketing Director, along with Light the World Bacolod representatives Dr. Antonio Tan and Mrs. Alma Tan; marketing team members Lilu Aliño, Pauline Abaiz, and Ludy Demecill; and Communications Coordinators Sheena and Dan de Guzman.
The partnership underscores USLS’s commitment to community engagement and its mission of fostering generosity, compassion, and service in line with Lasallian values.
