Third-year Marketing Management students from the Yu An Log College of Business and Accountancy (YAL-CBA) will represent the University in the Fall 2026 CHED AIMS Student Exchange Program at Keimyung University in Daegu, South Korea.
Joules Anthony Epitacio and Cheska B. Piad will study at Keimyung University from September 1 to December 18, 2026, under the International Business discipline.
During the four-month exchange, they will take courses including International Marketing, Strategic Management, Korean Language 1, and International Management. The program will allow them to apply what they have learned in their Marketing Management studies while gaining experience in a different academic and cultural setting.
Before leaving for South Korea, Epitacio and Piad underwent psychological processing at the Guidance and Evaluation Center with their College Counselor, Dr. Cinderella Francisco. The session helped prepare them for the adjustments involved in studying and living abroad.
They also attended a pre-departure orientation led by CHED AIMS 2025 alumni Felize Base and Kent Piojo Solas, together with Dr. June Carl Seran, Director of the Center for Linkages and International Affairs (CLIA). The orientation covered practical considerations for their stay and included insights from students who had previously participated in the program.
The exchange is part of USLS’ nine-year partnership with Keimyung University, established in 2017. Through the partnership, USLS students have participated in international mobility programs, including the AIMS and Campus Asia programs.
For Epitacio and Piad, the exchange offers the chance to study in another country, work with people from different backgrounds, and see how business is taught and practiced in a different setting. Their participation also adds to the University’s continuing academic exchange with Keimyung University and its links with institutions in South Korea.
