The University welcomed representatives from the Embassy of the United States in Manila last October 7 to discuss potential areas of collaboration and strengthen academic and cultural linkages between the Philippines and the United States.
The visit provided an opportunity for the University and the U.S. Embassy to explore initiatives that support international learning and engagement, including academic and faculty exchanges, educational and cultural programs, and student-centered activities.
The delegation included Consul Juliana Hanson, Deputy Chief of American Citizen Services, and Mr. Leo Balantac, Senior Consular Specialist. They were welcomed by University Chancellor Minnie O. Chua, who led the University’s engagement with the visiting representatives.
On October 8, the Embassy conducted an American Citizen Services activity at Santuario de La Salle, providing consular services and support to United States citizens in Bacolod City.
These engagements reflect USLS’s continued efforts to build international partnerships and explore opportunities for cross-cultural exchange, expanding learning experiences and fostering stronger institutional connections between the University and international partners.
