The University congratulates Alejo Joseph A. Esparagoza of the College of Tourism and Hospitality for emerging as Champion in the Bacolod City Tour Guiding Competition, held on September 17, 2026, as part of the Bacolod City Tourism Month Celebration.
A Tourism Management student, Esparagoza demonstrated strong destination knowledge, confident delivery, effective communication, and a genuine appreciation for Bacolod City’s tourism, culture, and heritage. His performance reflected the skills and knowledge essential to the practice of professional tour guiding.
Carrying the theme “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism,” the Tourism Month Celebration brought together students, tourism organizations, local businesses, and community stakeholders to explore the role of technology and creativity in shaping the city’s tourism sector.
Through competitions, industry engagements, and community activities, the College of Tourism and Hospitality provides students with opportunities to apply classroom learning in practical settings.
