The University welcomed a 58-member delegation of faculty and students from Oakhill College in Sydney, Australia, for a week-long Service Learning and Cultural Immersion Program held from October 1 to 7, 2026.
In partnership with De La Salle Philippines – Lasallian Mission Services, the program brought together Lasallian communities from Australia and the Philippines through shared experiences in service, cultural exchange, and community engagement.

The delegation participated in service-learning activities at Bahay Pag-Asa Youth Center, cultural interactions with the Basic Education Unit, and volunteer formation activities facilitated by USLS Balayan and the Vice-Chancellor for Mission and Development Unit. The College of Tourism and Hospitality also facilitated a cultural and heritage tour of Negros.
These activities provided opportunities for the visiting faculty and students to engage with local communities, learn about the region’s cultural heritage, and deepen their understanding of Lasallian mission and service.

The program reflects USLS’ continued commitment to Lasallian solidarity and international collaboration, fostering meaningful connections among Lasallian institutions while promoting cultural understanding and service-oriented formation.
