USLS appoints ex ad exec Mark Duenas new VCMD

The University of St. La Salle has appointed former advertising executive Mark Christopher Dueñas as the new Vice Chancellor for Mission and Development (VCMD), effective August 1.

This appointment was announced in a memo by University President Br. Joaquin Severino S. Martinez FSC on June 6.

Dueñas, who is concurrently serving as the University’s Director for Marketing and Communications, has extensive experience in advertising, having worked with clients in the healthcare and telecom industries at McCann Worldgroup Philippines, Ambient/Dentsu Myanmar, among others.

In his new role as VCMD, he will oversee the University’s formation programs, BALAYAN social action center, international linkages, alumni relations, and marketing, among other responsibilities.

Also joining him in the Mission and Development unit is Br. Irwin Anthony Climaco FSC, who is returning to the USLS community as Special Assistant to the VCMD for Lasallian Formation Programs.

Dueñas succeeds Br. Normandy Dujunco FSC, who has been assigned to a new and important role at De La Salle University - Dasmariñas.
