USLS distributes aid to families hit by Typhoon Goring

In a compassionate response to the aftermath of Typhoon Goring, the University of St. La Salle (USLS) demonstrated its commitment to supporting the affected families in Bacolod by distributing relief goods on Sept. 1.

A total of 200 relief packages, comprising essential food items and basic necessities, were distributed to families in need, including those from GK Banago, Brgy. Pahanocoy, Brgy. Sum-ag, and affected students, faculty, agency personnel and staff.

Various in-kind donations consisting of clothes, water and food were also turned over to the LGU of Bago City for affected families in the area.

This relief effort was coordinated by the Balayan - Social Development Center, in collaboration with the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Mission and Development, Office of Student Affairs, University Student Government, the Basic Education Unit and the Higher Education Unit.

The USLS community's unwavering support during these challenging times underscores the spirit of solidarity in the face of adversity.

Additionally, the University extends its heartfelt gratitude to all Lasallians and partners who generously answered the call for donations, further strengthening the collective efforts to aid those affected by the typhoon.
