The CHEDRO XVIII-NIR Regional Quality Awards, hosted for the second time by the Commission on Higher Education Negros Island Region (CHED NIR), recognized higher education institutions (HEIs) and partner agencies for exemplary achievements and initiatives that contributed to quality assurance in higher education.
Among participating institutions, the University of St. La Salle (USLS) received 12 recognitions during the CHEDRO XVIII-NIR 2nd Regional Quality Awards 2026, placing the University among the region’s recognized institutions across multiple categories.

The University received the following recognitions:
- Outstanding Board Performance in the November 2025 Nurses Licensure Examination
- World Rankings – ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA)
- Recognition of HEIS for the Provision of Support to CHEDRO XVIII Endeavors
- Award for Excellence in Research
- Award for Excellence in Community Extension and Linkages
- Award for Excellence in Internationalization Initiatives
- Award for Excellence in Peace Education
- Award for Excellence in Indigenous Peoples' (IP) Studies/Education
- Award for Excellence in Student Affairs and Services
- Award for Excellence in National Service Training Program
- Model Implementer Award for Higher Education Management Information System (HEMIS)
- Model Implementer Award on the Issuance of Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CAV) and Special Orders (SOs)
The USLS delegation, led by University Chancellor Minnie O. Chua together with University administrators, attended the awarding ceremony where the University received distinctions in several categories.
