USLS recognized as national awardee in CHED ICONS 2025 Center for Marketing and Communications 10 Dec, 2025 The University of St. La Salle (USLS), through the Center for Linkages and International Affairs, was recognized as a national awardee in the 2025 Commission on Higher Education’s Internationalization Champions of Nation-Building and Sustainability Awards (ICONS), earning First Runner-Up in the Best ASEAN Awareness Initiative Award 2025 for Private Higher Education Institutions.The recognition was given for USLS’ ASEAN in Style program, which was cited for promoting ASEAN awareness, strengthening regional identity, advancing cross-cultural initiatives, and sustaining meaningful community engagement.At the center of the program is the JGM Textile Arts Center at Museo De La Salle Bacolod, which houses textile collections from 77 countries, with a strong emphasis on Southeast Asian heritage and culture. Through this initiative, the University, in partnership with the Center for Linkages and International Affairs, continues to provide opportunities for cultural learning and appreciation within the Lasallian community and beyond.The awarding ceremony was held on December 10 at the Philippine International Convention Center, where institutions from across the country were honored for their contributions to internationalization and nation-building in higher education.
