The University signs a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Hearticulate Psychological Center to provide psychological support to the Stingers Men’s Basketball Team in the spirit of innovation and formative education on August 6.
University Vice Chancellor for Mission and Development, Mr. Mark Christopher D. Duenas, and Hearticulate representative, Dr. Donalyn G. Lastima, signed a MOA formalizing a service donation for psychotherapy support for the Stingers Men’s Basketball Team.
Present at the MOA signing were representatives from the Varsity Sports Office and the Center for Advancement.
Hearticulate Psychological Center is a psychological center based in Negros that nurtures the mental health and psychosocial well-being of individuals that is under Jamero Group of Companies.
The CEO of Jamero Group of Companies, Mr. Christopher Jamero, was a former varsity player whose passion leads him to dedicate this MOA to highlighting the importance of athlete wellness and support on and off the court.
Hearticulate offers quality services designed to identify a person’s inherent potential and help them become well-functioning and empowered individuals through counseling and therapy, psychological assessment, and other related services.
The psychological support will be delivered in the context of sport psychology, a first for Hearticulate, with an emphasis on the game, player preparation, and post-game effects.
Under the agreement, Hearticulate will provide individual counseling and psychological testing to build player profiles, enabling a more accurate assessment of their needs while group counseling sessions will be focusing on team dynamics.
The program aims to strengthen trust, teamwork, and communication that extend beyond the court for the USLS Stingers Men’s Basketball Team.
