University honors Service, Merit, and THOMAS Awardees for AY 2025–2026

Center for Marketing and Communications 13 Jul, 2026

The University recognized its administrators, faculty, and staff for their dedication, excellence, and service during Academic Year 2025–2026 through the annual Service, Merit, and THOMAS Awards held on July 8 at the Santuario de La Salle.

Organized by the Human Resource Development Services, the event formed part of the University's 74th Handumanan Celebration and honored employees whose contributions reflect the University's commitment to faith, excellence, and service.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of the Meritorious and Perfect Punctuality and Attendance (PPAA) Awards to 306 employees. The award recognizes personnel who demonstrate exceptional performance, commitment, and dedication through outstanding work results and exemplary attendance throughout the academic year.

The University also conferred Service Awards on employees who reached milestone years of service, recognizing personnel with 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 years of dedicated service to the institution.

University Chancellor Minnie O. Chua, in her message to the awardees, expressed her appreciation for their dedication and commitment to the University.

"Your years, your excellence, your dedication are not going unnoticed. They are being seen, celebrated, and deeply appreciated by this University and community you serve,” she said.

She also conveyed her gratitude to the 89 Service Award recipients who have dedicated 10 to 35 years of service to the University.

Chua emphasized that every member of the USLS community plays a vital role in strengthening the institution, likening the collective efforts of its employees to stars that come together to form a greater constellation.

"There is no role too small in this University, just as there is no star too small to matter in the night sky. Whether you are in the classroom or in the office, every single one of you is one of those stars aligning to light the way for this institution," she remarked.

Another highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the THOMAS Awards (The Outstanding Mentor, Administrator, and Staff Awards), a University initiative that recognizes exemplary Lasallian educators and personnel who embody the core Lasallian values of faith, service, communion in mission, and excellence in leadership.
