YAL-CBA Experiences Academic and Cultural Immersion at CamEd Business School

Center for Marketing and Communications 24 Aug, 2026

The Yu An Log College of Business and Accountancy (YAL-CBA) concluded its Academic and Cultural Immersion Program at CamEd Business School in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, held from July 25 to 31, 2026.

Bringing together academic exchange, student research presentations, cultural exploration, and corporate engagement, the week-long international exposure offered the YAL-CBA delegation a firsthand look at Cambodia’s academic and business landscape.

Comprising the delegation were Accountancy Program Chair Dr. Leah May Santiago and Business Economics faculty member Jan Patrick Bito-on, along with fourth-year Business Administration students Anya Raven Precioso, Ruffa Ysabella Arsenal, Chad Wayne Solivio, and Sophia Loraine Rojo.

As part of the academic exchange, USLS faculty delegates served as guest lecturers for Management Accounting and Economics classes at CamEd Business School, sharing their expertise with Cambodian students and engaging in cross-cultural academic discussions.

The student delegates also presented their Cost Accounting capstone project to international peers and mentors, demonstrating academic rigor and innovative approaches to business challenges.

Industry visits provided valuable insights into Cambodia’s business and financial sectors. The delegation explored regional auditing and financial consulting practices at Grant Thornton Cambodia, gained exposure to cross-border capital markets regulation through the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC), and observed large-scale manufacturing and cost-control systems at Agile Sweater (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. Cultural experiences in Phnom Penh further enriched the immersion, allowing delegates to explore the city’s rich history and heritage while fostering meaningful intercultural connections.

The successful immersion reflects the University’s commitment to developing globally competitive and industry-ready Lasallians. USLS looks forward to further strengthening its academic partnership with CamEd Business School through future collaborations.

The University extends its appreciation to the hospitality of its partner organizations and the CamEd Business School for welcoming and hosting the delegation.
