The University’s Yu An Log College of Business and Accountancy (YAL-CBA) participated in the Asia Economics and Policy Forum (AEPF2026), held in Singapore on July 28–29, 2026. Organized by East Asia Research and supported by the Faculty of Business and Law of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), Macao, the inaugural forum brought together economists, policymakers, industry leaders, and academics from across Asia to discuss the theme, “Green Growth, Financing and Building a Sustainable Future.”
With more than 70 internationally recognized speakers and attendees, the forum provided a platform for cross-border collaboration, knowledge exchange, and emerging research on climate resilience, green financing, and inclusive economic transitions.
Representing the University were Dr. Noreza A. Causing, Dean of the Yu An Log College of Business and Accountancy, Dr. Michael V. Baylosis, Program Head of the BS Management Accounting and BS Accounting Information System programs, and Mr. Jet Siegbert Oregano, CBA Research Coordinator. Student researchers Paul Bryan Chua and Sarah Michaela Elorio also joined the delegation as student presenters.

As part of the academic engagement, Chua and Elorio presented their research poster titled, “Green Financing Programs and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Scores in Pioneering and Emerging ASEAN Markets.” Their study examines the influence of green financing initiatives on ESG performance across ASEAN economies, particularly in markets transitioning toward more sustainable financial systems.
The research contributes to regional discussions on the role of financial institutions in accelerating decarbonization, the use of ESG as a benchmark for responsible investment, and the development of policy frameworks that support sustainable market growth.

Beyond presenting their research, the participation of the YAL-CBA delegation provided an avenue for faculty and students to engage with academics, policymakers, and industry leaders from across Asia. The forum's focus on sustainable finance, climate resilience, and inclusive economic transitions also provided a broader context for examining emerging economic and policy issues affecting the region.
Participation in AEPF2026 marks a significant step in YAL-CBA’s continuing efforts to strengthen its research culture and expand its international academic engagement. The forum's emphasis on green growth and sustainable development aligns with the college's pursuit of research and academic initiatives that contribute to national and regional development.
Through opportunities such as AEPF2026, the University continues to support meaningful academic exchange and prepare students and faculty to participate in global discussions on economic, financial, and policy issues.
