The University’s Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students have demonstrated their culinary excellence by securing consecutive championship titles in two prestigious competitions in 2026.
Last May 31, the team of Miguel Andre Del Mar, Lonniel G. Grecia, and Miles Benedict P. Vargas, coached by Chef Jairus John Cambelisa, emerged as champions in the Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival 2026 Cook-Off at Ayala Malls Capitol Central.

The team showcased their technical expertise and appreciation for local culinary heritage through their mastery of Bacolod’s iconic chicken inasal.
Continuing the winning streak, another BSHM team claimed the championship in the Chocolate Masters: The Praline Challenge during the Big Bite: Sweet Avenue event on August 14. Keith Julienne Felicano, Lonniel G. Grecia, and Andrei John Estember represented the team under the guidance of Coach Chef Dale Christian Reynaldo.

Their victories showed the students’ ability to apply their hospitality and culinary training in a competitive setting while celebrating a distinct local food tradition.
