Lasallian Student-Teachers Begin Classroom Exposure in Thailand

Lasallian Student-Teachers Begin Classroom Exposure in Thailand

Center for Marketing and Communications 27 Oct, 2026

Seven student-teachers from the University of St. La Salle’s College of Education are in Thailand for their international classroom exposure, gaining valuable teaching experience and broadening their global perspectives.

Until January 10, 2027, the student-teachers will complete their classroom exposure at two Lasallian institutions in Thailand: La Salle Chanthaburi (Mandapitak) School and La Salle Chotiravi Nakhonsawan School.

This international deployment is a significant component of the College of Education’s commitment to preparing globally competent educators. Through immersion in a different educational setting, the student-teachers gain firsthand teaching experience, engage with diverse classroom practices, and develop cross-cultural competencies essential to the teaching profession.

Participating in this international engagement are Shyne A. Paderna, Kate Louise G. Pabiana, Sophia Bianca A. Elbanbuena, Joanne Carmel N. Palma, and Arabella Grace R. Parcon, who are assigned to La Salle Chanthaburi (Mandapitak) School, while Kym S. Alameda and Ysabelle Patrice S. Bernabe are assigned to La Salle Chotiravi Nakhonsawan School.

The overseas deployment builds on the University’s longstanding partnership with La Salle schools in Thailand, which began in 2018. Through this continuing collaboration, USLS strengthens international academic engagement and provides future educators with opportunities to learn from educational practices beyond the Philippines.
