The University of St. La Salle (USLS) proudly announces that two of its students successfully completed their degrees this academic year as recipients of the 2025–2026 Wesley Educational Grant. Among this year’s recipients were Jhaztin Banico, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and Mildred Baging, who completed a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science.
The Wesley Educational Grant, administered by the Wesley Zaidan Foundation in Japan, provides financial assistance to undergraduate students across Asia and the Pacific. Offered through partner institutions of the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, the grant supports students with demonstrated financial need, particularly in covering tuition expenses.
Both received the grant during their final year allowing them to sustain their enrollment, complete all requirements, and graduate on time.
The selection of grantees involved a rigorous nomination and evaluation process within the University, facilitated by the Admissions and Scholarships Assistance Office (ASAO) and the Center for Linkages and International Affairs (CLIA). Qualified students were carefully assessed and endorsed to the United Board network based on academic merit and financial need.
The Wesley Educational Grant is open to undergraduate students aged 18 to 25 who are in their second year or higher and enrolled in institutions within Asia and the Pacific that are part of the United Board network.
