The University hosted Visayan Maritime Academy (VMA) Global College for a strategic benchmarking engagement on August 14, 2025, at the VCMD Board Room.
The session addressed critical institutional priorities, including career development systems, alumni relations management, academic program enhancement, and sustainable administrative frameworks.
Discussions centered on optimizing student-to-career pathways, strengthening alumni networks, fostering global-local academic linkages, and refining institutional governance.
The engagement concluded with a shared commitment to future collaborations advancing holistic development in Philippine higher education.

Spearheaded by the University’s Center for Alumni Relations (CARE), Career Development Center (CDC) and Center for Linkages and International Affairs (CLIA), a collaborative dialogue was exchanged between USLS representatives, Dr. Liberty Ochavo, Director of the Career Development Center, Dr. Rowena Bañes, Director of CARE, and Mr. June Carl Seran, the OIC Director of CLIA and the VMA Global College delegation led by Mr. Rene III B. Alcala, the Director for Student and External Affairs.
