USLS hosts first CEAS-WV Council Quarterly Meeting

The University of St. La Salle hosted the First Quarterly Meeting of the Council of Engineering and Architecture Schools in Western Visayas (CEAS - WV) on March 28, 2025, bringing together 22 Deans from schools across the region to discuss key developments in the field that aimed to foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in engineering education.

As the key hosts of this event, the College of Engineering organized and facilitated the event, demonstrating its leadership in the academic community and commitment to strengthening engineering and architecture education in Western Visayas.

The meeting aimed to foster collaboration and a shared commitment to advancing engineering education among the Engineering schools across Western Visayas.

A major highlight of the meeting was the presence of Dr. Rex C. Casiple, Chief Education Program Specialist of CHED Regional Office VI, who provided valuable updates on CHED policies and developments in engineering education, emphasizing the formulation of the Manual of Regulations for Private Higher Education.

The meeting served as a platform for deans and academic leaders to discuss pressing issues, exchange best practices, and explore initiatives that would elevate the quality of engineering education in the region.

Discussions and insights shared during the meeting reinforced USLS’s dedication to innovation, continuous quality improvement, and academic excellence.
