The University’s College of Computing Studies (CCS), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Fortinet on June 15 to strengthen cybersecurity education and support the University's BS Information Technology major in Cybersecurity program.
The partnership gives BSIT Cybersecurity students and CCS faculty access to Fortinet's hosted laboratories for hands-on training, certification exam vouchers, and instructional resources. These learning opportunities are intended to strengthen technical skills and better prepare students for careers in cybersecurity.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from Fortinet, Ardent Networks Inc., and CebNet Technologies Inc., together with University administrators led by USLS President Br. Joaquin Severino Martinez FSC, DMin. Also present were Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Ricver Ureta, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Toni-An Lachica, CCS Dean Dr. Loreto Damasco Jr., Academic Coordinator Ms. Mia Sobrepeña-Quidato, and CCS Department Chairpersons May Jallorina, Rics Rojas, and Dr. Jim Jonathan Decripito.
