A pilot initiative promoting intercultural learning and collaborative social impact brought 19 students from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, to the University of St. La Salle (USLS) for a series of academic and community engagement activities. The delegation paid a courtesy call on the University, where they were received by key officials led by University Chancellor Minnie O. Chua, alongside representatives from the Office of Global Initiatives.

The visit is part of the University of Tsukuba: Social Impact – Multicultural Co-learning Lite Plan, which seeks to connect students from different cultural backgrounds through shared learning and collaborative experiences.
The program brings together students from Japan and the Philippines in activities centered on intercultural learning, community engagement, and collaborative social impact.
Through these exchanges, participants gain opportunities to engage with diverse perspectives, strengthen cross-cultural understanding, and explore collaborative approaches to addressing social concerns.

The initiative reflects USLS’ commitment to internationalization and global engagement, strengthening academic partnerships and providing students with opportunities to learn and collaborate across cultural boundaries.
