HEU Lasallian clubs, orgs partake in Club Fair 2024
To highlight the unique identity and strengths of the Lasallian community, around 30 Higher Education Unit academic and special interest clubs and organizations took part in this year’s Club Fair, organized by the University of St. La Salle Student Government (USG) from September 9-13, 2024 at the University grounds.
The club fair, centered on the theme “Euphony: Ensemble of the Ballads” which is inspired by The Hunger Games series, featured different events, including the "CORNUCOPIA: The Ultimate Survival," "PANEM: Gallery of Districts," and "REAPING: Avenue for the Tributes."
With these events, Lasallians were able to showcase their wits in the PasiCLUBan Quiz Bee, creativity with the Club Booths, and talents through their respective Club Icons.
The event was spearheaded by the Liaison for Campus Clubs and Organizations (LCO), together with the guidance and help of the Office of Student Affairs and various USG Departments.
“Through captivating displays and engaging presentations, we aim to highlight the rich tapestry of passions and interests that make our campus so dynamic,” said Klarisse Anne Ramos, LCO Deputy Secretary, while also emphasizing that each club is crucial to the Lasallian identity.
The 5-day event concluded with the Computer Science Society (CSS) hailing as the overall club fair champion, followed by the Marketers' Union (MU) and Communication Society USLS (CSU) as the 1st and 2nd runner-ups, respectively.
Meanwhile, Dranreb Cimatu of CSU prevailed as the Victor of the Year, otherwise known as the Club Icon Champion, and earned the Best in Costume award.
The following minor awards were also distributed: Rektikano ESports League with Best in Tikal-Tikal, Intellectually Diversified Students’ Organization with Best in Club Introduction, and USLS Psychological Society with the Netizen’s Choice Award.
On the other hand, the Computer Science Society secured the Best Club Booth and Most Engaging Booth awards, while the Green Ranchers Club was named as the Most Sustainable Booth.
